Year 7 Admissions
At Ernest Bevin College we do our best to ensure the transition from Primary to Secondary school is as smooth as possible. It is an exciting time but we recognise it can be a time of apprehension and make sure all our students receive the support they need to settle in.

We welcome prospective pupils and their parents to come and visit the school either on an Open Day or to telephone the school office to arrange a tour.
Applications for entry into Year 7 are coordinated by Wandsworth Council:
Wandsworth Secondary School Admissions
Once your son has been offered a place to start in September you will be invited in to the College for an interview with the head of year or deputy head of year in June. We also hold an induction evening in early July when your son will get a chance to meet his new tutor and class mates.
All new Year 7 pupils will join in a programme of activities to help everyone students settle in to the College. For example on the first day of term in September only Year 7 and the Sixth Form attend and students take part in a series of activities to familiarise themselves with the college site. They spend the day with their tutor and other pupils in their tutor group and meet the head of year.
At Ernest Bevin College we have high expectations for all our students in terms of both achievement and behaviour. These expectations are explained clearly to all new students joining the college.
