Outdoor Education - Cycle training in the snow 2013
-
Students at EBC take advantage of the snowy conditions.
-
This group of students are using the college's mountain bikes and learning how to ride safely in all weather conditions.
-
Today the lesson is taking place in the playground but the group take the bikes out in the local area and learn road safety skills and map reading.
-
The bikes will also be used by older students for expeditions further afield such as the Duke of Edinburgh award scheme.
-
But the recent snowy conditions are a good chance for students to learn how to handle the bikes in the safety of the playground.
-
However there is always time for a race
-
...even if it is quicker to ditch the bike and run!
