Enterprise Day

Each year students take part in various Enterprise Challenge events to help gain an insight into the world of business. The idea is that students work together in teams, brainstorm ideas and come up with a product within the brief of costings.

EBC Lionheart Winners 2012

Year 10s take part in the Lionheart Challenge. Winners from our school heats go on to face teams from other schools and in 2012 the EBC team (pictured above) went on to the regional final where they received a special award for their team work and excellent product research and development.

Various other Enterprise Challenge Days take place throughout the year. Boys are split into teams across the year group and set different business challenges. For example one challenge they were tasked with was developing a new bar of soap, calculating manufacturing costs and profit margins. They also had to develop a marketing strategy and brand name for the finished product. The winning brand was manufactured and sold to raise money for one of the college charities.
