The College Council has been involved in a number of projects recently. These include organising a range of special events such as a community music eveining, Ernest Bevin Iron Man competition, Student Leadership training and a number of charity fund raising campaigns. Current projects being addressed include establishing Ernest Bevin Radio and looking at improving green issue awareness and recycling within the College.

Besides its continued support of local charities including Trinity Hospice and Motor Neurone Disease Association, the College Council is also providing continued support for our official charity DEOMA (Diana Elisabeth Ochola Memorial Aid) which supports a school in Uganda.

"The College Council provides the whole school with a voice and an opinion on important issues. Furthermore it allows students to convey their own view on what they think is important to hem and to other students. The College Council provides an important connection between staff and pupils."

Sukhveer Bhamra - Year 9

"Over my years at the school (now in my seventh and final year), I've watched the council go through many changes, growing into a more powerful force of change. The council is and always has been there to pose the questions for which one voice cannot be heard."

Jordan Dalrymple - Year 13
