Aim Higher
Aim Higher is a project to widen participation in Higher Education for young people from under-represented communities.
Aim Higher activities in Ernest Bevin College aim to:
- To meet the needs of those with Higher Education potential in each year group through a broad, balance, relevant curriculum
- To develop the potential and ability of these pupils and raise their aspirations and achievement by developing their core skills, intellectual curiosity, range of knowledge, creativity and specific talents.
- To establish/extend links with other organisations and Higher Education establishments.

- Parents & Pupils into Higher Education (Nov 2010, London South Bank University
- Group visits to Higher Education (Nov 2010) Kings' master classes and student shadowing in dentistry, medicine and maths
- Urban Scholars Programme seven Saturdays held throughout the year at Brunel University
- Fast Forward Mathematics two year course held at Cambridge University
- Aspire Event: 9 HIGH Day (January 2011) at London South Bank University
- Year 9 Outward-bound Challenge & Adventure (January 2011) Lake District for ASDAN CoPE Level 2
