17 Oct 2014 - 2:23pm In this issue there are reports about a Year 8 Trip to Kew Gardens, a Sixth Form RPA session, the Bevin Bake Off final and our charity swimmers. In sporting news there is a Sixth Form visit to the National Sports Roadshow, plus reports from Table Tennis, Judo and Volleyball including when Cameron made history representing England Juniors in the NEVSA volleyball championship in Denmark.

Charity Swim

17 Oct 2014 - 2:10pm Two teachers raised over £1000 for the Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust by swimming to the Isle of Wight, a distance of 2.5 nautical miles (just under 4 miles). Blue Ties swimmers added to the fund raising by attempting to swim the equivalent distance in the Bevin pool during the summer term.

Bevin Bake Off Final

17 Oct 2014 - 2:01pm The final of the Bevin Bake Off will be take place on Tuesday 21st October at the grand opening of the newly refurbished Food Technology Room. Amongst the judges will be Dhruv Baker, the winner of the BBC's Masterchef 2010. The four finalists will have an hour and a half to impress the judges with their showstoppers.
